If you're looking to educate yourself on more specific issues, such as judicial proceedings, campaign and finance, etc., there are some amazing books out there that you can borrow from the library or buy that are concise and to the point, without fluff. The great thing about most politics books is that they don't try to pad their facts and just give it to you straight. It makes for much easier reading.
Jan 03, 2015 The best way to educate yourself in politics is to attend a precinct political party meeting, offer to take on a volunteer task, and then help a specific candidate run for election. To top it off take a course in political science at your closest college. Spread this over about two years.
How do I properly educate myself about Politics?
Hello all, since I am an undergraduate Economics student, I have realized the importance politics play in the economy and the progression of a country. I personally believe that I am open to beliefs of all political parties, but I am not sure how to find quality information about what is going on in politics. I am going to vote in this upcoming presidential election for the first time, and aim to start voting in smaller and more local elections. However, I do not know what political party I should register in.
If you all can help become more educated I would greatly appreciate it. I am generally looking for threads to follow, news websites to subscribe too ( or to stay away from ) and just general ways to keep myself informed so I can make my own unbiased opinions.
